Cloudy Server Settings Guide – Prefix, Volume, Vote Skip & More

Overview
Cloudy's Server Settings Manager allows server administrators to customize how the bot behaves within their server. Instead of configuring multiple settings through separate commands, the Settings Manager provides a simple interface where you can manage dedicated channels, playback preferences, voting systems, and other server-wide options from one place.
To open the Settings Manager, use the /settings command in any text channel.
After running the command, Cloudy will display the Server Settings Manager dashboard.
The dashboard provides access to all available server settings, including Text Channel, Voice Channel, Prefix, Auto Shuffle, Default Volume, Voice Status, Vote Skip, and Reset All.
Text Channel
The Text Channel setting allows you to choose a dedicated channel where Cloudy will respond to commands. This helps keep music-related commands organized and prevents unnecessary clutter in other channels.
- •Open the Server Settings Manager.
- •Click the Text Channel button.
- •Select the text channel you want Cloudy to use for commands.
- •Save your selection.
Once configured, Cloudy will only respond to commands in the selected channel. If you wish to allow commands in any channel again, simply reset the setting.
Voice Channel
The Voice Channel setting allows you to specify a dedicated voice channel where Cloudy should operate. This is particularly useful for servers that use a permanent music channel.
- •Open the Server Settings Manager.
- •Click the Voice Channel button.
- •Select the voice channel where Cloudy should be used.
- •Confirm your selection.
Cloudy will now prioritize the selected voice channel for music playback.
Prefix
Set a custom command prefix for your server alongside slash commands (e.g., !, ?, $, c!).
- •Open the Server Settings Manager
- •Click the Prefix button
- •Click Set Custom Prefix and enter your new prefix in the modal
The new prefix will be applied immediately. To return to the default, select Reset to Default from the Prefix Settings page.
Default Volume
Set the default playback volume (1–100) that Cloudy uses when joining a voice channel or beginning a new session.
- •Open the Server Settings Manager
- •Click Default Volume
- •Click Set Volume and enter a value between 1 and 100
Cloudy will automatically use the configured volume whenever a new playback session starts.
Auto Shuffle
Automatically randomize the queue after each song finishes, creating varied listening without manual intervention.
- •Open the Server Settings Manager
- •Click Auto Shuffle
- •Select Enable or Disable
When enabled, Cloudy will automatically shuffle upcoming songs. When disabled, songs play in the order they were added.
Voice Status
Allow Cloudy to display current playback information directly in its voice channel status, so users can quickly see what's playing without checking the queue.
- •Open the Server Settings Manager
- •Click Voice Status
- •Choose to Enable or Disable
Vote Skip
Require a vote from users in the voice channel before a song can be skipped, preventing single-user disruptions.
- •Open the Server Settings Manager
- •Click Vote Skip
- •Select Enable or Disable
When Vote Skip is enabled, Cloudy will create a vote whenever someone attempts to skip a song. Once enough users vote, the song will be skipped automatically. This is recommended for community servers and public music channels.
Reset All
Restore all server settings back to their defaults at any time.
- •Open the Server Settings Manager
- •Click Reset All
- •Confirm the reset action
Cloudy will restore all settings — including channel settings, volume preferences, prefix configuration, and playback options — back to their default values.
Warning: This action cannot be undone automatically.
